How to Apply
Surface Preparation
Sweep and/or vacuum all dust. Use an appropriate cleaner/ degreaser to remove dirt, light grease and oil. Avoid wetting very porous surfaces since they will absorb too much water. New concrete including power floated surfaces should be allowed to cure for 14 days. Any traces of laitance (a weak dusty layer) should be removed by stiff brushing (acid etching is not recommended).
Application
No need to stir. Pour a little at a time direct from the container onto the floor and spread using a 3/8" nap roller, 18" roller frame and handle or brush. Work well into the surface applying more if the solution rapidly disappears into very porous, absorbent surfaces. For best results two coats are generally required depending upon the type and texture of the substrate. A third coat may be required on exceptionally porous surfaces including sand and cement screeds. The second or subsequent coats should be applied at 12-hour intervals.
Curing Time
The product will cure in approximately 12-16 hours to accept light foot traffic. The product will be fully cured in 7 days and some care should be taken to avoid water spillages or scuffing within this period. Curing times are based on temperatures in excess of 60°F. Lower temperatures or damp, humid conditions can extend the curing time.
Coverage
Approximately 415 sq. ft. per 1.3 gallons.
